Thoughts of improving next season

I was thinking about things that I could do to improve this coming deer season while sitting in my spear house hoping for a big Northern Pike to come and check out my decoy. After a couple of hours went by and one 7 lbs Pike later I convinced myself of try some frost seeding this spring. One of my favorite spots is an small old Tamarack swamp with a small funnel that leads to the neighboring property. The area and the surrounding neighbors have cattle in the pasture so doing a standard food plot won't work very well. After hunting this spot for a few years I know where the deer bed, travel, feed etc. The does always seem to come out and feed on a open grassy point that juts out into the swamp. My thought is if I can get some better food growing on that point/nob the swamp should hold more deer and hopefully more big bucks. So come March I am going to frost seed some Pure Trophy Clover and or Wild Game Buffet on the point closest to the to the swamp and furthest from the neighbors :). Step one planned. Now I just have to start thinking of other improvements I can do to other parts of the property.
